Who is Ogone and is a credit card payment via the slm web site safe?

Credit card transactions via our web site are handled by OgonePayment Services. Ogone is one of the largest handlers of payments through the internet. Ogone uses the Secure Socket Layer protocol which sends your coded credit card information to the credit card company. This data cannot be intercepted by third parties. Ogone messages to us are also sent in coded form. Your credit card information is stored on the very secure computers of Ogone. So you do not have to worry about the safety of this information.

Which credit cards can I use to make a booking on the site?

You may book with MasterCard, UATP or Visa.

To off-set increased credit card charges which SLM paid, a surcharge is levied for a credit card payment – except UATP – for each ticket ; infant exempted. Effective May 01, 2017 the surcharge is € 15.00 per ticket for travel commencing from Amsterdam or Cayenne, and for travel commencing from other points e.g. Paramaribo / Aruba / Curaçao / Miami etc. US$ 10.00 per ticket. If the creditcard holder is NOT the traveler, we will request your identification.

My credit card is refused while making an on-line booking. What must I do?

I have a bank account and can I make a booking via the web site?

You have a bank account at the Postbank or Rabobank or SNS Bank or ABN AMRO bank. You can make a booking and pay through your bank account for a trip with departure from Amsterdam to Paramaribo. For a bank payment no surcharge is applicable. For the other cities of departure a bank payment is not possible.

Ogone messages to us are also sent in coded form. Your credit card information is stored on the very secure computers of Ogone. So you do not have to worry about the safety of this information.

Is airport tax charged on every ticket ?

On almost every ticket taxes are levied. The amount consists of various charges that the airport authorities and/or government instances establish for among others the use of the airport facilities and security services etc. at arrival or departure.

As a rule these surcharges are mentioned on the ticket and are indicated according to applicable international rules.
