The Quota Men Cook-Out: a signature event

Service Club Quota International of Suriname has been organizing the Quota Men Cook-Out for 18 years already. This signature event has grown into an activity that attracts more than 4500 visitors. The concept is based on men (usually delegated by businesses) cooking on the spot, with self-bought ingredients. The food is then sold and the proceeds donated to Quota International of Suriname. The service club spends the money on the needs of her target groups: Young people and women who are in need of help, disabled children and senior citizens.

The QMCO has become so popular that “cooks” travel here from the Netherlands to participate. Needless to say, it is not about professional chefs, but about men from the business world, who possess some cooking skills and are willing to put in some effort for a good cause. Go have a taste!
