Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the government of Suriname has implemented new entry requirement for passengers.

Effective date : April 13, 2022
Entry requirements: PASSENGERS FULLY VACCINATED FOR COVID-19
1* Valid Travel documents (including VISA for visa-obliging persons)
Note: The W confirmation numbers is not accepted as an approved Visa.
2* Proof of fully Vaccination for COVID-19.
Fully vaccinated passengers need to provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing the person is fully vaccinated at least 2 (two) weeks before arrival in Suriname or a COVID-19 recovery certificate not older than 6 (six) months. Children under the age of 18 years are exempted from the vaccination requirement.
Fully vaccinated also includes persons who after being tested positive for COVID-19, from 14 days to 06 months (before departure to Suriname) with a COVID-19 recovery certificate showing the relevant test results (SARS-CoV-2-RT-PCR and CT value).
Very important Vaccine Exemptions : The following Vaccines *Soberana 1, *Soberana 2, *Soberana plus, *Abdala or *Spoetnic V are accepted under the condition that travelers also
– have to present a negative SARSCoV-2– RT PCR test result no older than 48 hours upon departure to Suriname
– must take 3 days after arrival in Suriname a SARS-CoV Antigen. The test condition is regardless the incidence rate of the departing country.

3* Proof of vaccination for YELLOW FEVER
Passengers who are arriving within 6 (six) days after leaving from or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission need to present a YELLOW FEVER Certificate. The Yellow Fever certificate must be issued at least 10 (ten) days before arrival in Suriname. Surinamese Residents and diplomats accredited in Suriname are exempted.

EXCEPTION FOR PASSENGERS NOT FULLY OR NOT VACCINATED FOR COVID-19
1* Valid Travel documents (including VISA for visa-obliging persons)
Note: The W confirmation numbers is not accepted as an approved Visa.
2* A negative SARSCoV-2-PCR test result.
– Not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated passengers need to present a negative SARSCoV-2– RT PCR test result no older than 48 hours OR a negative SARSCoV-2– RT Antigen test result not older than 24 hours , issued by an accredited medical test entity, prior to departure to Suriname.
Please note: No GGD-test for the passengers from the Netherlands, No QUICK TEST results or ANTI BODY test results.
Children under the age of 12 years are exempted from the requirement to present a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR or a negative SARS-CoV-2 antigen test result.
3* Proof of vaccination for YELLOW FEVER
Passengers who are arriving within 6 (six) days after leaving from or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission need to present a YELLOW FEVER Certificate. The Yellow Fever certificate must be issued at least 10 (ten) days before arrival in Suriname.

If you are not complying with the above entry requirements, you will not be accepted on the flight to Suriname.
